It doesn’t seem five minutes since we were last sweating over a hot keyboard, regaling/boring/informing/entertaining* you about our adventures around various parts of the world. Well, here we are again, just about to set off for other parts of the world we haven’t explored (and some we have).
After a couple of wonderful years in London, living within sight of the Thames and working in various nannying and teaching jobs, we are bookending our stay with house sits – the first in Putney, the last in Bicester. From there we are visiting friends in Yorkshire before flying out on the evening of Monday 17thSeptember for Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, the first stop in our mini tour of southern Africa.
End of September we head off to Namibia and a safari – Etosha and Sossusvlei, then on to Cape Town mid-October. After a bit of fannying around S Africa, we set off for Australia and spend six weeks there, then off to Bali at the end of January. From there our route is a bit of a mystery – we plan to spend about three months backpacking, trying to take in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore (Quick visit as it’s expensive, I hear!), Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and possibly Myanmar, before flying back to Blighty briefly at the start of May to get a car and set off around Eastern Europe, planning to get back in time for Edinburgh Fringe and Cropredy!
We shall be posting the link on Facebook and setting up an email group for those not socially connected! Please feel free to add/make comments and we hope you get some slight enjoyment from our ramblings – both literal and literary. We'd love you to keep in touch.
Lots of love
Andy and Gillie
